Technical due diligence and platform hardening for a scaling wellbeing platform

myHappymind was scaling a digital wellbeing platform and needed a stronger technical foundation to support growth, investor scrutiny, and day-to-day operational confidence. Leadership wanted a clear view of where security posture, hosting resilience, and platform governance needed to improve across the marketing estate, Google Workspace, laptops, MDM, and BYOD usage.

FoundationState assessed the existing environment, advised on a more secure and resilient hosting setup, and helped shape the supporting controls needed around backups, monitoring, payment protection, and scale-risk reduction. The work also included security remediation tied to penetration-testing and audit findings, guidance on tooling aligned to GTM and product direction, and custom development support for store and learning-page experiences that better matched the evolving offering.

The result was a more investor-ready technical posture, with remediation activities progressed and accepted as part of PE funding readiness, a clearer roadmap for strengthening resilience and governance, and a more practical understanding of where technical improvement would reduce risk while supporting future scale.

Technical Due Diligence

Challenge

  • Leadership needed a clearer technical view of where security and operational weaknesses could undermine growth.
  • The estate spanned marketing systems, Google Workspace, laptops, MDM, and BYOD usage, creating multiple points where governance and security posture needed to tighten.
  • There was also a need to reduce scale risk, improve payment protection, and move key hosting components to a more resilient setup before further investor-backed growth.

Work Completed

  • Reviewed security posture across the wider operating environment, including the marketing estate, Google Workspace, laptop management, MDM, and BYOD controls.
  • Advised on hosting migration to a more secure and resilient architecture, with backup and monitoring measures put in place to improve operational readiness.
  • Supported remediation of issues raised through penetration testing and audits, provided tooling guidance aligned to GTM and product vision, and contributed to custom development work on stores and learning pages tied to the evolving offer.

Outcomes

  • A materially stronger view of the technical and security risks most likely to affect scale, investor readiness, and operational resilience.
  • Accepted remediation activity tied to PE funding, with clearer priorities across hosting, security posture, monitoring, and governance.
  • A more resilient technical foundation to support product growth, payment protection, and future operational scale.
